How can you Participate?

Register for the program!

Register on-line, decide if you would like a new programmable thermostat or outdoor control unit, and we will deliver it right to your home.

If you prefer, you can come into our office to register for the program!

You can register and pick-up your new thermostat or control unit at the Peterborough Utilities Services office.

Additional Information:

If you choose the programmable thermostat, you have the option to choose a service technician, from a pre-qualified list, to install a it in your home, a $250 value, free of charge
If you would prefer to keep your current thermostat, you can still participate by choosing to have a control unit installed outside at the main connection of the air conditioner into your home
You must make arrangements within six weeks, with any one of the qualified contractors, to have your new device installed at your home or business
The device (thermostat or control unit) and installation are FREE - Plus, you will receive a $25.00 credit on one of your future electricity bills
If you do not own the property you must have your landlord provide written consent to install the equipment. Please download the peaksaver program customer contract form and have your landlord complete and sign the area on the form granting permission for equipment installation.
You must have central air conditioning and your furnace and air conditioner must be in good working order. The installation technician will verify this.
