Meet our management team

John Wynsma - Vice-President, Generation and Retail Services

John has been involved in the renewable energy generation business for over 30 years in a diverse range of roles, regions and renewable technologies. Over the past decade, he has led the growth of Peterborough Utilities Inc.'s (PUI’s) renewable generation portfolio from 6 MW to approximately 50 MW, making Peterborough Utilities one of the leading municipally-owned generators in the province today. As part of the Peterborough Utilities Group’s executive team, John provides leadership in the company’s strategic direction, growth, performance and employee culture.

Keith Rye – Manager, Risk and Asset Management

Keith has been in the utility sector for over thirty years in multiple roles including, metering, protection and control, engineering, generation operations, risk and asset management. He managed the growth of PUI’s generation operations group during it’s rapid growth and now leads the corporate Enterprise Risk Management and Asset Management Programs. Keith is part of the Peterborough Utilities Group’s management team and imparts leadership in risk, asset management and renewable generation sustaining capital and optimization projects.

Jason Hoskin - Manager, Generation Operations

Jason has been working in the industry for over 20 years in a diverse range of roles, regions and industries including Automotive, Food & Beverage, Nuclear and Utilities. Prior to working at PUI, he worked for the affiliate company Peterborough Distribution Inc. as Engineering Supervisor. As part of PUI, Jason provides leadership, performance and experience to the maintenance and operation of all the company’s renewable energy generation assets.

Terry McConnell - Manager, Metering Services

Terry has worked in the electrical utility sector for over 30 years in the field of revenue metering. He has held various positions related to wholesale and retail metering, billing and settlements, data acquisition and communications. Terry has successfully managed the metering services group of Peterborough Utilities since 2007 and overseen many projects for local distributors, generators, and industrial clients.
